Volvo XC90 T6 Transmission Problems?
I have a 2003 XC90 T6. When I'm accelerating and it's in 3rd gear the RPM looks like it's bouncing. It begins to go up, then it feels like a lot of power drops, then goes up more, and then a power drop. I can't really explain it any other way. When you watch the RPM it looks like it is bouncing up not smooth.
Any ideas? I just bought it and it only has 50k miles on it. I have a 3 year 36k miles warranty but I'm not sure they would replace the transmission unless it actually died. Anybody know what's wrong with it?
That is called slipping.
The XC90 T6 is the car to avoid. Any other Xc90 would be alright.
This one has a high transmission failure rate.
Even at low mileage. I would say you can TRY! flushing it (at the dealer).
If it doesn't work, you need a new tranny. Sorry
