What is the difference between a Function Generator and a Cranial Electro Stimulator or CES device?
Hi all, I have been doing some research but I just can't put my finger on it yet. Is there a difference between a function generator and a CES device? I do know that the CES devices are very low in amps like maybe 1 to 1.5 amps, and usually they use a square or a rectangle waveform. Would that be the only difference? Are they both audible if hooked up to a speaker? What would be the difference between them if any? Any input would be great thanks.
A function generator can create: square pulses, triangles, sinusoids, and other waveforms of various frequencies and amplitudes. It usually provides one output probe.
A CES - I guess - may provide output to multiple output probes.
